Workshop for student-artists held at Guru Nanak Dev University

Amritsar, Sept. 7 (Punjab Post Bureau) – A workshop on fine arts was organized here today in the Dasmesh Auditorium of the Guru Nanak Dev University. This special workshop was organized by the Youth Welfare Department of the University with the objective to acquaint the students, teachers and directors of various affiliated colleges about the technical knowledge and do’s and don’ts in the items of fine arts during competitions in various forth coming youth festivals. Students-artists from various Affiliated Colleges, Teachers and Team Directors participated in this workshop.

            This workshop was inaugurated with the expert views of subject experts from fine arts named Dr. Jaspal Singh, Dr. Gurdeep Singh and Dr. Gurwinder Suri. Dr. Earlier, Jagjit Kaur, Director welcomed all on this occasion. They informed about the technical aspects of relating to performance of various items of fine arts. They advised the participants to take care of time while keeping in mind colour and thoughts of the object they wish to make. They also replied to quarries from artists and their directors. Technical aspects in the Fine art items like rangoli, photography, painting and cartooning were discussed in details in this workshop.
