Workshop for Theater student-artists held at University

Amritsar, Sept. 11 (Punjab Post Bureau) – A workshop for theater student-artists was organized in the Dasmesh Auditorium of the Guru Nanak Dev University. This special workshop was organized by the Youth Welfare Department of the University with the objective to acquaint the students, teachers and directors of various affiliated colleges about the technical knowledge and do’s and don’ts  of theater performance during competitions in various forth coming youth festivals. Students-artists from various Affiliated Colleges, Teachers and Team Directors participated.         

            In this workshop, Dr. Janmeet Singh, Shri Waryam Mast, Dr. Jashpal Kaur Deol and Dr. Gurpreet Singh Ratol participated as experts from the field of theater. They informed about the technical aspects relating to performance of various actions, reaction, stage craft during the performance of any play or one act play. They advised the participants to take care of time and optimum utility of available space to perform. They also replied to queries of artists and their mentors. Dr. Jagjit Kaur, Director welcomed the subject experts and student artists.
