BBK DAV College Women organizes Guest Lectures on ‘Life without Chemistry’

Amritsar, Sept. 24 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Department of Chemistry  BBK DAV College for Women organized Guest Lectures on Life without Chemistry and Applications of chalcogenides. Dr. M.S. Bakshi Assistant Prof., Department of Natural and Applied Sciences, University of Wisconsin, Green Bay, USA, and Dr. Gurinder Kaur Ahluwalia, Assistant Professor and Senior Instructor, Department of Physics, College of North Atlantic, Labrador City, Newfoundland, Canada, were the resource persons for the same.

During the interaction, Dr. Bakshi dwelled on the topic Life without Chemistry. He also shed light on its significance in various aspects of scientific research Dr. Gurvinder Kaur explained the applications of chalcogenides and the recent development in this field to the students. Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the Department on organizing such informative lectures. She also appreciated the efforts of the distinguished guests for acquainting the students with various applications of Chemistry in our life. Dr. Poonam Khullar, Head, Department of Chemistry, along with other faculty members and students, were present on the occasion.
