BBK DAV College Women organizes Freshers Fiesta in Hostel

Amritsar, Sept. 29 (Punjab Post Bureau) – BBK DAV College for Women organised a Freshers Fiesta in the college hostel to welcome nearly 430 hostellers in the academic session 2017-18. During the event, freshers, dressed in eclectic attires, walked the ramp and displayed their talent. Various cultural programmes including music and dance performances were also performed after the modelling show.

Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia presided over the function and gave a warm welcome to the freshers. She emphasized the importance of inner as well as outer beauty. She also stressed upon the need to inculcate ethical and familial values among the youth. She said that the event provided a platform to showcase the talent & potential of the students.

Kamaldeep Kaur of 10+2, Medical Stream, was crowned with the title of Miss. Newbie, Ridhima Ralli of B.Com, Sem.I, got the title of Miss Splendid, Monica Salaria of B.Com, Sem. I, won the title of Miss Elegant, Rajwinder Kaur of Diploma in Clinical & Diagnostic Techniques, got the title of Miss. Glorious and Shivangi of BA, Sem. I, was crowned with the title of Miss Adorable.

Dr. Rani, Mrs. Sweety, Dr. Simardeep and Ms. Harleen were the judges of the modelling competition. The event was organized by the members of Hostel Committee of the college, namely, Mrs. Poonam Kohli, Dr. Simardeep, Mrs. Sweety, Dr. Rani and Dr. Nidhi Aggarwal.
