World Animal Day observed at DAV College

Amritsar, Oct. 6 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Department of zoology  DAV College observed World Animal Day. Students of BSC (Medical) and BSC (Biotech) participated in the event. The students were sensitized by showing movie on honey bees. The movie which was showcased to students gave a message that every organism plays an important role in ecosystem and ecosystem sustainability can be achieved only by cooperation among various organisms. The main objective behind organising this event was to raise the status of animals in order to improve welfare standards around the globe.

Principal Dr. Rajesh kumar Congratulated Dr. Rajni khanna, Head Department of Zoology for taking such initiatives for the betterment of students. He also emphasized that every individual plays an important role for the well being of the society. Dr. Daisy Sharma, Dr. Neeraj Gupta and Prof. Nihita Sharma were also present on the occasion.
