DAV College Amritsar Organized Blood Donation Camp

Amritsar, Oct. 15 (Punjab Post Bureau) – To cater the larger interest of humanity, Blood Donors Association, DAV College Amritsar organized Blood donation Camp in College on October 13, 2017.  Principal Dr Rajesh Kumar and Prof BB Yadav, Incharge Blood Donor Association welcomed chief guest Mr Vikas Soni, Youth Congress Leader Amritsar Central. This camp was sponsored by HDFC Bank and blood bank of Guru Nanak Dev Hospital.  Gagandeep Singh from HDFC and Dr Vivek Khanna, Assistant Professor, Medical College and Mr Ravi Kumar, Public Relation Officer, Guru Nanak Hospital also graced the event. Principal Dr Rajesh Kumar motivated students of the college to participate in such welfare camps organized for helping needy persons.  More than 100 students along with college staff members like Prof RK Jha, Dr Ashish, Prof Sunil Sachdeva and Prof Milandeep Arora donated blood units with full enthusiasm to help society for this pious cause. NCC cadets and NSS Volunteers also participated in camp. Much eagerness was seen among college students for donating blood.  This great social gesture helped students realizing sense of responsibility towards social welfare. They helped donators to make this noble cause a success. Prof kamal Kishore, Prof Sanjeev Dutta, Dr Ritu Arora were also present during the camp.
