BBA DAV College Women lifts Gndu Inter College Rifle Shooting Championship

Amritsar, Nov. 21 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Rifle shooting team of BBK DAV College for Women has won the GNDU Inter-College Rifle Shooting Championship held at Guru Nanak Dev University. College team gave a splendid show by defeating HMV College, Jalandhar, KMV College, Jalandhar, LKC College, Jalandhar, Khalsa College, Amritsar and GNDU Campus Amritsar. Members of the winning team are Shailja Yadav, Shivangi Sharma, Chanda and Diksha Sheoran. Two players of the college Ms. Shailja Yadav and Shivangi Sharma have been selected for All India Intervarsity Championship going to be held at GNDU Campus from 10^th to 14^th Nov. 2017. Mr. Sudershan Kapoor, Chairman, Local Managing Committee & Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the young achievers and motivated them to maintain their performance in future as well. Dr. Walia added that the college players have always made a mark in various championships and, as a result, BBK DAV College for Women is a forerunner in sports. Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head Department of Physical Education, along with other faculty members, felicitated the players on their achievements.
