Amritsar, Nov. 27 (Punjab Post Bureau) – BBK DAV College for Women organized the book launch of Mr
Amardeep Singh’s book The Quest Continues: Lost Heritage –The Sikh Legacy in Pakistan which is the culmination of his research on the remnants of Sikh legacy at 126 cities and villages in Pakistan During the book launch, Mr Amardeep Singh addressed the students of the college and dwelled upon his quest as an author to explore the footprints of the Sikh legacy in Pakistan.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated Amardeep Singh on his attempt to revive the abandoned legacy of Sikh heritage with a holistic approach. She added that his perspective to cover the subject is beyond the boundaries of religion and caste. Acknowledging the valuable work of Amardeep Singh, Sudershan Kapoor Chairman, Local Managing Committee, said that his work woned motivate all communities to become aware of their past and live harmoniously. Gunbir Singh, President Dilbir Foundation, and Chairperson of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF-India) in Punjab applauded the author’s effort to bring focus to the life and practices of the forgotten communities which continue to thrive and evolve across Pakistan.
Dr. Rupinder Kaur, Head, Department of Punjabi, Dr. Simardeep, Dean Academics, Dr. Rani and Dr. Sunita, along with other faculty members, were present on the occasion.
