BBK DAV College for Women Wins Gndu Inter-College Kayaking Championship

Amritsar, Dec. 2 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Kayaking team of BBK DAV College for Women won the GNDU Inter-College Kayaking Championship held at Lohnu Ground, Bilaspur, H.P. College team gave a splendid show by defeating HMV College, Jalandhar, SD College, Dinanagar and Khalsa College for Women, Amritsar. Team members are Ms. Priyanka Devi, Komal Bisht, Kirandeep Kaur, Manpreet Kaur, Shaweta, Palak, Manpreet Kaur and Madhu Sharma. Two players of the College Ms. Priyanka Devi and Komal Bisht have been selected for All India Intervarsity Championship going to be held at Pong Dam in Feb. 2018.

Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the young achievers and motivated them to maintain their performance in future as well. She added that the college players have always made a mark in various championships and, as a result, BBK DAV College for Women is a forerunner in sports. Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head, Department of Physical Education, along with faculty members, felicitated the players on their achievements.
