‘Design and Junk Art Mania 2014’held at BBK DAV College

Amritsar, July 30 (Punjab Post Bureau) – A Talent Hunt competition named ‘Design and Junk Art Mania 2014’ was held by design department (Foundation), of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar. Participants showed their talent in T-Shirt Painting, Tattoo Making, 3-D sculpture making, Waste Material Craft and Madna Art. More than 50 students participated in this event. Plus One student Loveleen Kaur stood Ist in T-Shirt Painting. Dipansha, Pallavi and Radhika got Ist, IInd and IIIrd position respectively in tattoo making. Shina, Pooja, Prakriti, Amisha, Mahima and Dishita got Ist, IInd & IIIrd positions respectively in 3-D Sculpture Making, while Sonali Aggarwal, Dipansha, Sukhleen and Pooja got Ist, IInd and IIIrd positions respectively. Vriti Mehra, Karamjit Kaur and Himani secured Ist, IInd & IIIrd positions in Madna Art Rimalpreet got Consulatin Prize. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra visited the department and appreciated the efforts of students & blessed them for the future. On this occasion Prof. Sundeep Zutshi, Prof. Benu Kapoor and Prof. Jeevan Sodhi were the judges for the competitions. Head of the department Mrs. Mandeep Sokhi, Dr. Lalit Gopal were also present on the occasion. Mrs. Komal Sekhon (Dean Youth Welfare Society) was also present to motivate the students. Others present on the occasion were Ms. Kajal Sharma & Mr. Jaspal Singh.
