BBK DAV College Women wins GNDU Tug of War Championship

Amritsar, Feb.  14 (Punjab Post- Jagdeep Singh)  – Tug of War team of BBK DAV College for women, won the GNDU Tug of War Inter-College Championship held at Guru Nanak Dev University. The college team put up a splendid show by defeating H.M.V College, Jalandhar, Khalsa College for Women Amritsar and R.K. Arya College Nawanshehar. Team members were Ms. Komaljeet Kaur, Baljinder Kaur, Manpreet Kaur, Navroop Kaur, Charanjit Kaur, Gurpreet Kaur, Jyoti, Mandeep Kaur and Karamjeet Kaur.

Mr. Sudershan Kapoor Chairman Local Managing Committee, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia and LMC member Dr. V.P Lakhanpal congratulated the young achievers and motivated them to maintain their performance in future as well. Dr. Walia added that the college players have always made a mark in various championships and, as a result, BBK DAV is a forerunner is sports. Mrs. Sweety Bala Head, Department of Physical Education, Tug of War Coach Ms. Rajdeep Kaur along with the other faculty members, felicitated the players on their achievements.
