Workshop on “Studio and Production lights” organized at DAV College

Amritsar, Mar. 6 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Department of Mass Communication & Video Production of DAV College organized one day workshop on “Studio and Production lights”.

Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar along with Prof Arif Nazir Head Department of Journalism extended a floral welcome to Gaurav Kumar Independent Film Maker. He is currently running his own production house “Film Your Film” in Amritsar.  Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar said that our college is always keen to organize such valuable student centric workshops for students as such workshops will help students to get hand on training on various topics related to their practical syllabus.

While acquainting students, Gaurav Kumar briefed about various topics like Exposure Triangle, Usage of Hard Light and Soft Light, Need of Colour Temperature, Technique of 3-Point Lightening System, Usage of Reflectors and Diffusers etc. Head of the Department of Mass Communication & Video Production, Prof Arif Nazir briefed the students about the basics of Lightning and its importance in Production. Adding further, he said that this workshop provides the students with a practical aspect of the profession of film making and help them to explore different aspects and tricks that how wisely they can use lights. In the last, he thanked Gaurav Kumar for his valuable interactions with the students and giving them a practical peep inside the profession. The workshop was also attended by Prof. Sania Arora, Prof Vani Sharma, Prof Saundarya Kochar, Prof Roohi Sharma, Prof Ferry Bhatia and Prof Sehajpal.
