Amritsar, Mar. (Punjab Post Bureau) – Member Parliament Gurjeet Singh Aujla while addressing a press briefing said that he has written to Capt. Amarinder Singh regarding opening a world class art Digital Library in Amritsar dedicated to the former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. Informing about the recent development Aujla said that he taken the matter with Dr. Manmohan Singh during the former’s visit to Amritsar and got his consent. He said that Dr. Singh has given consent to endorse the proposal. A resolution by district administration shall be sent to Chief Minister for the provision of land, funds, tactical and technical support in realizing this project. Aujla said that as Dr. Singh hails from the holy city of Amritsar it would be a privilege to develop an international standard digital library with a complete reference section of Dr. Singh’s work and research along with all the other streams. He said this library will not only cater to the border belt but would also act as an international landmark in the field, work and research of Dr. Singh.
