Amritsar, Aug. 11 ( Punjab Post Bureau)- Two students of DAV Public School, Lawrence Road , Amritsar won the prestigious CBSE Writing Series Award held online at the National Level. The competition was based on the inspirational life of Sri Pingali Venkayya. Both the students won a cash prize of Rs.5000/- for their entry for Day 4. CBSE announced 68 winners on each day, starting from 5th August to 11th August, 2014. Chaitanya Aggarwal of Class XI and Aaftab Singh of class IX won this award in Hindi and English respectively for Day 4. Chaitanya Aggarwal of Class XI also won a cash prize for Rs.5000/- for his entry in English sent on Day 6. The activity aimed at the holistic development of the learners and making them aware of the selfless and valiant services of the women and men who have served the nation. Regional Director Amritsar Zone Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Principal BBK DAV College for Women ,Lawrence Road , Amritsar and the Manager of the school Dr. K.N. Kaul Principal DAV College , Hathi Gate , Amritsar congratulated the students for their fabulous achievement. They blessed them for their future endeavors. Dr.Neera Sharma Principal of the school was jubilant at the performance of the students. She added that such competitions helped students to express themselves and enhance their writing skills.
