Income Tax Department Jalandhar to organize ‘Public Grievance Redressal Fortnight’ from 1st June

Jalandhar, May 31 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The Income Tax Department Jalandhar is organising a “Public Grievance Redressal  Fortnight” from 1^st June  to 15^th June  2018, whereby all the offices under the jurisdiction of Pr. Commissioner of Income Tax -1/2 Jalandhar which apart from Jalandhar, include Nawashahar, Dasuya, Hoshiarpur, Phagwara, Kapurthala and Nakodar. Special and prompt attention will be given to grievances related to pending rectification applications (u/s 154 of the IT Act, 1961) and refunds rising out of pending appeal effect orders in the case of tax payers. The IT Department has also requested the various Tax Bar Associations and CA Associations in the city to come forward so that prompt disposal can be made in such cases. The Income Tax Department is making continuous efforts towards quick disposal of public grievances and is giving excellent services to taxpayers.
