Amritsar, August 31 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The Department of Biotechnology, DAV College Amritsar organized a one day Intra-Department Science Festival “Initium Novum” today. Students of the department participated with full zest and zeal in events like Think within a blink, The whisper challenge, Kaun kiska kya and yeh karke dikhao. The main motive of the fest was to unleash the hidden talents within the students and to motivate them to do hard work and face challenges.
Think within the blink competition was won by Rohan Gupta, Savleen Kaur, Jai Kishan, whisper challenge was won by Raman and Rohan Sharma, kaun kiska kya Challenge was won by Raman, Nitika and Japneesh, Yeh karke dikhao game was won by Pooja, Nishu, Parminder and Jai Kishan and Singing Challenge was won by Nikhileshwar.
Principal Dr. Rajesh kumar motivated and interacted with the students and was impressed by the talent of the students. He added that such activities are very important in developing intellectual skills among the students and preparing them to face the challenges of life. He also inspired them to participate in various events with all commitment and dedication.
Dr. Vikas Gupta, Head Department of Biotechnology said that the main motive of the festival was to empower students about latest developments in science, bring out their hidden talent and develop confidence in them. He also told that free books were also given to meritorious students in order to motivate them to develop more interest in studies.
On this occasion Dr. Ashish Gupta, Dr. Rupinder Kaur, Prof. Arif Nazir, Prof. Henna Sood, Prof. Navjot and prof. Poonam also graced the occasion with their presence.
