ASISC Northern Region Declamation Competition – 2014

Amritsar, Aug 22 (Manjit Kaur)-  ASISC Northern Region Declamation Competition – 2014 was held in the school premises of Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Basant Avenue, Amritsar in which teams of ICSE schools from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh participated. S.Charanjeet Singh Ji Chadha, President, CKDCSgraced the occasion as Chief Guest.  S. Dhanraj Singh, Member Incharge, Basant Avenue, CKDCS and Mrs. Sukhbir Kaur Mahal, Member Incharge, Basant Avenue, CKDCS and Principal, Khalsa College for Women, Amritsar, were the Guests of Honor. Mrs. Mansi Singh, Assistant Professor, Deptt. of English, S.R. Govt. College for Women, Amritsar and Mrs. SushmaManocha, Associate Professor, BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, were the revered judges. All the teams participated with great zeal and enthusiasm and confidently threw light on the given topics. They exhibited their supreme confidence and command over the subject.

S. Charanjeet Singh Chadha, President, CKDCS, motivated the participants and boosted  up their confidence by his inspiring words. He emphasized on the need of such literary contests to be held from time to time for the students to be perfect orators and attain leadership qualities.Jinson J. Sunny, Sacred Heart Convent school, Jamalpur, Ludhiana,andCharushi Chadha,  Dagshai Public School, Solan, Himachal Pradeshwere declared as the winners and best speakers in junior category. JyotsnaRana,Sacred Heart Sen. Sec. School, Majitha Road, Amritsar, and Holy Navjot Singh Bajwa Holy Heart Presidency School, Amritsar, were declared as the winners and the best speakers in senior category. The chief guest gave away the prizes to the winners. Mrs. Nirmal Kaur, Principal, moved the vote of thanks. She thanked the honourable Chief Guest, revered judges, teachers and all the participants for their co-operation in making the event a grand success.
