Birth anniversary of late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi commemorated as Sadhbhawna Diwas

Amritsar, Aug. 23 ( Punjab Post Bureau) – NSS Unit of BBK DAV College for Women observed Sadhbhawna Diwas in commemoration of birth anniversary of late Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi informed Mrs. Manbir Kaushal, Vice Principal of College. Paper reading contest was conducted in the seminar hall of college. Programme Officer Mrs. Jaspreet Bedi spoke on the theme of “Sadbhavana Diwas”. She told that theme is to promote National Integration and communal harmony among the people of all religions, languages. She further added that Goodwill towards everyone and eschewing violence are the motto of the “Sadbhavana Diwas”. Volunteer Harsha recited the Sadhbhavna pledge. Volunteer Geetanjli was declared prize winner for slogan writing. Programme Officer Mrs. Surbhi Seth and Dr. Shweta Kapoor also motivated the volunteers to work for national integration. Shivani, Harsha and Nidhi stood first, second and third respectively in paper reading contest.
