NSS Unit of BBK DAV College organises 7-Day’s Camp Valedictory Function

Amritsar, Feb. 13 (Punjab Post Bureau) – NSS Unit of BBK DAV College for Women organized a valedictory function by performing sacred Havan to mark the finale of 7-Day NSS Camp in the college premises. Eminent entrepreneurs from Canada Mr. Gagan Chopra and Mrs. Aashula Chopra were the chief guests for the occasion. During the function, a documentary made by Multimedia Department covering different activities of the 7-day camp, was shown. NSS Volunteers Samiksha, B.Com Sem-6 and Sonalpreet, BA Sem-6 was awarded the Best Camper and Best Innovator titles respectively. Certificates were distributed among the NSS volunteers who had participated in the camp. Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia, addressing the volunteers, appreciated their efforts and emphasized the need of community service. She further added that real joy lies in serving others and making the world around us a better place to live in. Mr. Gagan Chopra congratulated the NSS volunteers on their outstanding efforts and motivated them to focus on communitarian approach. Dr. V.P Lakhanpal member LMC congratulated the students and motivated them to provide service to community. Sudarshan Kapoor Chairman, LMC proposed the vote of thanks and felicitated the volunteers for their tremendous efforts. Mohinderjit Singh, Vipin Bhasin, members LMC, Hira Lal Kandhari, Sandeep Ahuja, Rakesh Mehra, members Arya Samaj, Mrs. Surbhi Sethi and Mrs. Priya Sharmz NSS program officers along with their team members participated in the function.
