National Voter’s day celebrated in UBS

Amritsar,  February 22 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The University Business School GNDU conducted a two-day event to observe National Voter’s Day in the department. It was organized to create awareness about Voters’ rights and duties among the youth. Under the theme of ‘Ethical Voting’, poster and slogan making competitions, debate and quiz competitions.

The students of the department participated in the event with great zeal. Majority of the students of the department took a pledge for ethical voting on Voter’s Day. Dr. Jasveen Kaur, the head of the department distributed the Certificates of merit to the winners of the competitions and highlighted the importance of democratic electoral participation of students in shaping the government and their very futures. This was done to encourage more young voters to cast their votes in the most ethical manner and be responsible for the future of their country. The event was convened by Dr. Supreet, Assist Professor in the department.
