Gurjeet Aujla visited families who suffered loss of life & property

Amritsar, 7 Sept, (Punjab Post Bureau)-  DCC(R) Amritsar president Gurjeet Singh Aujla today paid a visit to the families who suffered loss of life and property during the incessant rains. As per the instructions passed to Aujla by Congress Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha and MP from Amritsar Capt Amarinder Singh to share the grief with the bereaved families and to do a quick survey of the damages and losses; Aujla today visited village Manawala, Jassonangal, Preet Vihar and Gali Bania (Chowk Lashmansar). Expressing his condolences to the bereaved families Aujla conveyed Capt Amarinder Singh’s message to the families that Congress is standing shoulder to shoulder with them and the MP office will ensure that these suffering families may get support for reconstructing their damaged houses. Three houses in village Manawala collapsed but luckily there was no loss of life whereas the family at Jassonangal lost 5 members. Four members of this family lost their lives due to roof collapse whereas the fifth could not bear  heart seizure while he was trying to rescue two other members from the same family stuck under the collapsed roof. Jasbir Singh Dimpa also joined during Jassonangal visit. A lady lost life in Preet Vihar while she was trying to shift her belongings and roof collapsed upon her. Aujla also visited the grieving family at Gali Bania (Chowk Lashmansar) who lost their only young son. Aujla ensured all the families that Capt Amarinder Singh and entire Congress is working for the compensations and reconstruction of their houses.
