Dr. Avtar Singh conducts Robotic Knee Replacement conference in Singapore

Amritsar, April 4 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Dr Avtar Singh Chief Orthopaedic Surgeon Amandeep Group of Hospitals, who is World’s First Punjabi Surgeon to perform Robotic Assisted Knee Replacement, recently conducted a cadaver workshop in Singapore for the surgeons of Malaysia & Singapore. Workshop was attended by 20 surgeons from all over Malaysia. He explained the benefits of Robotic Assisted Knee replacement to the audience. While explaining, he said, it is the future of knee replacement & we are doing surgeries with this technology very successfully since last one year. Results of surgeries performed with Robotic Technology are very impressive & we have achieved nearly 100% success rate. While explaining the benefits of Robotic Assisted Knee Replacement, he said, “Robotic surgery integrates advanced computer technology with the experience of the skilled surgeons. The surgeon uses intuitive robotics assisted controls and intelligence to enable precision and accuracy at the minutest level, which leads to highly desirable results in the patient after the surgery. Robot, which is a state of art technology, enables the surgeon to replace only the damaged part of the knee to absolute perfection, saving all the other normal structures of the joint.Further, the Robotics-assisted system eliminates the possibilities of human error and ensures perfect alignment, leading to the longevity of the joint implant.
