Group Captain Ashok Kumar took over command of Air Force Station Amritsar Cantt.

Amritsar, May 1 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Group Captain Ashok Kumar took over the command of Air Force Station PUNJ0105201904Amritsar Cantt. from Group Captain Santosh Kumar Tripathi, who is proceeding on retirement. Air warriors of Air Force Station presented an impressive ceremonial parade during the handing/ taking over ceremony.

            An alumnus of National Defence Academy, Group Captain Ashok Kumar was commissioned in 1995 in the fighter stream of Indian Air Force. He has flown over 2600 hours on various fighter and trainer aircraft and is a Qualified Flying Instructor.  

During his career, the officer has held various staff and command appointments including command of a missile squadron and has undergone the Higher Command Course from Army War College Mhow.
