Amritsar, Sept. 30 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Under the aegis of DAV CAE, DAV CMC New Delhi one
day ‘Capacity Building Programme’ for teachers was held at DAV Public School Lawrence Road. The workshop was conducted for various subjects – Mathematics, Science, Fine Arts, Physical Education, Yoga, Music /Dance, Computers and EEDP (Early Education Development Programme). As many as 510 participants from DAV Public School, DAV International School, Police DAV Public School, GND DAV Public School, MKD DAV Public School, JRS DAV Public School, BBK DAV Public School, DAV Red Cross for Special Children, JLM DAV Public School, Gurdaspur, SVJC DAV Public School Dasuya, KRJ DAV Public School Kapurthala, BBMB DAV Public School Talwara, DAV Edwardgarj Sr.Sec School Malout, LJN DAV Public School Gardhiwala, JNJ DAV Sr. Sec. School Giddarbaha participated in the workshop.
The workshop, which aimed at enhancement and sharing of knowledge and new ideas in the academic and co – curricular front was inaugurated by, Regional Officer Punjab Zone – A Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra was also present to bless the teachers. The workshop particularly dealt with new changes brought by CBSE in different subjects. The teachers were upgraded for the same & new methodology was discussed. While addressing the teachers he said that workshops are very important for professional development as they help in adapting and updating the content and methodology according to the need of the fast upgrading times. She added that such workshops foster a personal educational vision and provide knowledge and working skills in planning, creativity and innovation.
Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra said that learning is a never ending process and such workshops help teachers to their teaching so that can satisfy of the learners.
Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school thanked Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra for constant support to the productive activities of the school . She also expressed her gratitude to the team of Resource persons and observers who provided their expert opinion and guided the teachers for the best turn out for the students in all perspectives.
