DAV Public School observes Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s B’day with Zeal

Amritsar, Sept. 30 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The students of DAV Public School Lawrence Road observed Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s birthday with great zeal and reverence. Bhagat Singh one of the most influential revolutionaries of the Indian Nationalist Movement is a prominent name in the Indian freedom struggle. He is a youth icon. The students of Std – XII (Medical) remembered him for his conviction, patriotism and devotion for the country.  Through an inspiring role–play, the students announced that there was an urgent need to awaken Bhagat Singh in every youth. Talking about the current scenario of rising materialism and selfishness, they urged everyone to rise obove self and work for the benefit of humanity. They read out excerpts and events from his inspiring life and expressed the need to bring about another revolution, but this time for the sake of freedom from abusive language & crude culture, social evils, ignorance, corruption and join hands to empower resources, women, childhood, healthcare and education.

Regional Officer Punjab Zone–A Dr. Mrs. Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College Amritsar sent their best wishes.

Dr. Resham Sharma class teacher for the assembly urged the youth to use internet resources to rediscover Shaheed–e-Aazam Bhagat Singh’s poetry, his thoughts and to keep  the spirit of revolution burning in their hearts.

Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school while addressing the students said that  they need to learn and follow the ideals  of Bhagat Singh.
