Guru Ram Dass 485th `Gurpurab’ celebrated at Khalsa College Campus

PUNJ1610201913Amritsar, Oct 16 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The 485th `Gurpurab’ of Sri Guru Ram Das, Sikhs’ fourth Guru and founder of Amritsar was celebrated with religious fervor and devotion at Khalsa College campus by Khalsa College Governing Council (KCGC). The prayers and recitals of the hymns from Gurbani was witnessed at College Gurdwara which was tastefully decorated with buntings.

The students of Khalsa College for Women (KCW) performed Kirtan following Bhog of Sri Akhand Path and Dr. Inderjit Singh Gagoani, shed light on the life, philosophy and directives of the Guru. The students recited the Gurbani and Shabad in praise of Guru Ram Das ji who founded Amritsar.

KCGC honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina congratulated one and all on Gurpurab and asked the students, staff and people to follow righteous path shown by the Guru. He said Guru Ram Das spearheaded the path of doing work by hand and resorting to the communion with God.  

            Chhina along with Khalsa College Principal Dr. Mehal Singh bestowed Siropas on the students performing Kirtan. KCGC office bearers including Jagdish Singh, Ajmer Singh Heir, SS Mannan, Members Lakhwinder Singh Dhillon, Gur Mohinder Singh, Principals Khalsa College for Women Principal Manpreet Kaur, Principal Surindepal Kaur Dhillon, Principal HB Singh, Principal Nanak Singh, Principal Jaspal Singh, Principal Puneet Kaur Nagpal, Principal AS Gill and Principal Gurinderjit Kaur Kamboj were present on the occasion.
