Management fails to fulfill the commitment – Dr. Sekhon
Amritsar, Oct 21 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The different local of DAV Colleges wear black badges to protest against the
DAV College Managing Committee New Delhi in Punjab as per the call given by PCCTU. In a statement Dr. B.B Yadav District President Amritsar said that near about 100 teachers of various DAV Colleges in Punjab are waiting for their promotion under career advancement scheme for the last two years. The management is using delaying tactics to implements the CAS. The organization requested so many times to do the same and the last meeting in this regard was held at DAV College Jalandhar with PCCTU office bearers and Principals of DAV Colleges on 12th August, 2019. It was decided that the whole matter will be resolved within the two months i.e. before 12thOctober,2019 but the failure to do so by the management compelled the organization to launch the agitation with effect from 21th October, 2019 by giving again one week to solve the issue but no response from the Management received till date. Dr. Yadav also told that all the three DAV Colleges in Amritsar, BBK DAV College, DAV College of Education and DAV College Amritsar participating in the protest against DAV Management.
President of Local Unit DAV College Amritsar Dr. Gurdas Singh Sekhon criticized the autocratic behavior of the DAV College Managing Committee. He said that the teachers who got promotion under CAS earlier time are not paid their full arrears. The Unit Secretary Dr. Munish Gupta told that the teachers are bearing a big loss of salary due to non-implementation of CAS. All the teachers were protesting against the management.
Dr. Malkiat Singh Vice president of the Local Unit said that black badges protest is of two days only if the management again fails to solve the issue then the agitation will be intensify from 23rd October, 2019. The teachers present include Dr. Neeraj Gupta, Prof. Sanjeev Dutta, Prof. Rajesh Mittu, Dr. Madam Daizy Sharma, Dr. Madam Parveen Kumari, Dr. Madam Rajni Khanna, Dr. Darshan Deep Arora, Prof. Gurjeet Singh Sidhu, Prof. Surinder Kumar, Prof. Ullas Chopra, Dr. Vikas Bharadwaj, Prof. B.S Bal, Prof, Madam Preeti Kamra, Prof. Madam Manpreet Kaur, Dr. Narinder Arora, Prof. Ashu Vij, Prof. Madam Amanpreet Kaur, Dr. Vikas Gupta, Prof. R.K Jha, Prof. Madan Mohan Jindal, Prof. P.S Randhawa and Prof. Madam Rupinder Kaur.
