Free Ayurvedic Medical Camp in Central Jail Amritsar

Amritsar, Dec 18 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Central Jail Amritsar Department of Prison and Correctional services and with Collaboration of Department of Ayurveda District Amritsar organised a free Ayurvedic Medical Camp under “Mission Healthy Punjab”.

            This camp was organised under the supervision of Doctor Aattamjit Singh Basra District Ayurvedic Officer Cum Drug Inspector and Sh. Arshdeep Singh Gill Superintendent, Central Jail Amritsar. Where expert team of Ayurvedic Medical Officers provided free checkup and Ayurvedic Pharmasis donated free medicines for the sick prisoners. This camp was held at Jail Hospital and Female Ward more than Eight Hundred prisoners participated in this camp.

            On this occasion Doctor Aattamjit Singh Basra District Ayurvedic Officer through light on importance of Ayurvedic which is one of world’s oldest and most effective treatment. Ayurvedic treatment can cure all kinds of common and chronic diseases as well as it does not have side effects. Dr. Basra gave awareness about few homemade remedies and also gave awareness about till effects of drug abuse and motivates them to lead healthy and happy life.

            Whole team of Sh. Arshdeep Singh Gill Superintendent, Central Jail Amritsar and Doctor Aattamjit Singh Basra District Ayurvedic Officer i.e. Prison Departments Deputy Superintendent Sh. Balwinder Singh, Jail Medical Officers Dr. Sudhir Arora, Dr. Harmeet Singh, Dr. Vishavpal Singh, DSP Hemant Sharma, DSP Kamaljit Singh, Asst. Superintendent Avtar Singh, Asst. Superintendent Gurjant Singh and Asst. Superintendent Simratpal Singh with rest of Jail Staff. In this camps Dr. N.K. Chawla (Ex. Principal Ayurvedic Medical College ASR) Dr. Gurinder Boparai, Mrs. Satinderjit Kaur Boparai, Dr. Vivek Shory, Dr. Randhir Singh, Dr. Vishal Sharma, Dr. Jaspreet Chawla, provided free checkup and Ayurvedic Pharmacies i.e. Dharvantri Harbls Amritsar, Prabhat Pharmaceuticals Amritsar, Herbasia Biotech and Robin Harbals Amritsar for provided free Ayurvedic medicines.

            Hindustan Parchar Sabha donated 1217 books through Lahore book shop like stories, novel, travel descriptions, health-related, conceptual etc. which will guide the prison inmates and will be useful for their knowledge and overall development of mental health.
