An Outreach Activity on “ABO and RH Blood Grouping” organized at Vivek Public School

Amritsar, Dec 19 (Punjab Post Bureau)  – A workshop on “ABO and Rh Blood Grouping” was organized by the department of zoology, DAV College Amritsar for the students of classes 10^th, 11^th, and 12^th at Vivek Public School, Airport road, Amritsar.

            Under Star College scheme of DBT Govt. of India, faculty members Prof. Dr. Rajni Khanna and Prof. Renu Chauhan conducted this workshop. Students were apprised of the basis of ABO and Rh grouping, their inheritance, technique to know and precautions to be taken while dealing with blood and medico-legal significance and the procedure. Director of the school, Mrs. Nidhi Mehra, science faculty and more than 50 students performed blood grouping on their own and participated in the interaction with the faculty members from the department.
