Examination boycott by College and University Teachers in Punjab

Amritsar, Dec 19 (Punjab Post Bureau) – As per the call given by Punjab Federation of University and college teachers’ organization (PFUCTO), today all the teachers colleges and  three universities Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar, Punjab University Chandigarh, Punjabi University Patiala and Punjab Agriculture University Ludhiana boycotted the examination duty, Evaluation duty and Practical Exam duty under the protest of non-implementation of 7^th Pay commission in colleges and universities where as all other states have already implemented the said pay scale. The Punjab is at its least position now at all fronts. In this connection a Protest Rally and Dharna was organized at DAV College Amritsar.

Addressing the rally Dist. President Dr. BB Yadav and Local Unit president Dr. Gurdas Singh Sekhon told that the teachers of colleges and universities are waiting for the 7^th pay commission. Dr. Sekhon told that we are struggling under the banner of PFUCTO and it will continue till the achievement of the goal and if needed we will give arrest after that if Punjab government does not implement the 7^th pay commission. Dr. BB Yadav told that all the colleges in Amritsar including Government College and GNDU boycotted the Examination duty. It is worth mentioning that all the universities have already postponed the examination of dated 18/12/2019 under the pressure of PFUCTO call of boycott. All the staff members participated in the dharna including Dr. Malkiat Singh, Prof. Rajesh Mittu, Prof. Sanjeev Dutta, Dr. Darshan Depp , Prof. Gurjeet Singh Sidhu, Dr. Madam Daizy, Dr. Madam Ranjni Khanna, Dr. Madam Parveen Kumari, Dr. Neeraj Gupta, Dr. Rajni Bala, Prof. Madan Mohan, Prof. Rajnesh Popi and other staff members.
