A Seminar on Philosophy organized at DAV College

Amritsar,  February 15 (Punjab Post Bureau) – A seminar on “Relevance of Applied Ethics” was organized by the Department of Philosophy, DAV College, Amritsar, under the aegis of Indian Council of Philosophical Research. Prof. Anu Kandhari, Head of Department of Philosophy, Hindu College Amritsar and Prof. Mayuri Verma from S.R.Govt. College Amritsar, were the main speakers of the day. Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar welcomed the guest speakers. Prof. Sonia Arora successfully organized the seminar under the guidance of Dr. Vipin Kumar, Head of department of Philosophy.

            Prof. Anu Kandhari and Prof. Mayuri Verma spoke about various fields of ethics including Medical Ethics, Business Ethics, Environmental Ethics and Education Ethics.

            The seminar was attended by all the students of the Department of Philosophy. The guests were presented shawls and mementos by the Principal. Vice Principal Dr. Darshandeep Arora, Dr. Praveen Kumari Thakur, Dr. Kuldeep Singh Arya, Prof. Savita, Prof. Babsha Mangi, Dr. Arvinder were also present at the occasion.
