Covid 19 – Civil Surgeon holds Meeting with hotel managers

Kapurthala, June 26 (Punjab Post Bureau)  –  A meeting with hotel managers of Kapurthala regarding covid 19 precautions held at Civil Surgeon Office under the chairmanship of Civil Surgeon Kapurthala Dr. Jasmeet Bawa. In the meeting hotel managers were told about the guidelines of Covid 19. It is mentioned that NRI”s belong to Kapurthala from different countries are being quarantined at London Hotel, Ramada Hotel, Rattan Hotel and Ramneek hotel. In the meeting Civil Surgeon told that covid 19 is a disease caused by novel corona virus transmitted through respiratory droplets. In the meeting following instructions were given…..

• The owner of the quarantine should ensure the availability of the doctor.
• The doctor shall monitor the contacts in quarantine facilities once a day on basic parameters – temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate and pulse oxymetry.
• The doctor engaged by the facility will inform the District Surveillance Officer regarding the list of contacts admitted to such facility and their health status on daily health basis.
• The quarantined person should not be allowed to meet visitors, including relatives.
• The in house catering should only provide room services for freshly cooked food duly following physical distancing and environmental sanitation.
• The utensils should not be shared amongst the staff/ contacts.
• Raw fruits/vegetables should be washed with lukewarm water before consumption.
• To maintain proper records of NRI’S.
• List of Do”s and Dont”s for handling of food was given to all the hotel managers who attended the meeting.
