GNDU NCC wing hosted Kargil Vijay Diwas webinar

Amritsar July 27 ( Punjab Post Bureau) –  NCC wing of Guru Nanak Dev University hosted a webinar in the Guru Nanak Dev University campus to commemorate ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’. The Webinar was organized by 1 Punjab Battalion NCC under the aegis of NCC Group Headquarters, Amritsar on behalf of NCC Directorate (Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh & Chandigarh). 248 Cadets along with their ANOs hailing from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh participated in the Webinar, besides another 200 attended the live streaming on youtube channel.

                    Every cadet of National Cadet Corps enthusiastically participated in the Webinar. The Webinar began with reading of opening address of Maj Gen Beji Mathews, Additional Director General, NCC Directorate P, H, HP & C. Cadets took pledge to serve the nation and its people. A presentation cum videos on Kargil War and Param Vir Chakra awardees was shown to cadets to inspire and instill patriotism in them. There was be poetry recitation competition for cadets and all 08 participants were awarded with cash awards. To check the awareness of cadets about Kargil War, an online Quiz competition was also organized, wherein cadets from Patiala Gp bagged the top 03 positions as winners. Brig RK Mour, Group Commander, congratulated Lt. Anil kumar ANO GNDU and thanked university authorities for their cooperation in the successful culmination of the Webinar.
