Kapurthala to start special campaign to test persons with age of 60 years

Civil, Police, Health, Anaganwari and Asha workers joins to encourage people for testing

Kapurthala, September 1 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The district administration Kapurthala has decided to start the special campaign for testing of persons having the age of 60 or above besides people with serious issues like high blood pressure, sugar and heart related problems to reduce the deaths in the district..

                 Today charing the meeting with officials from all departments Deputy Commissioner Deepti Uppal said that It was a matter of concern that the district have more than 50 deaths with covid and with an aim to control the death rate the district administration have constituted special joint teams to aware the people for testing.

                 She also asked the SDMs to visit the field to encourage the people for sampling in case of covid symtons with the assistance of sarpanchas , panchas , councilors etc .

                 She also asked the civil surgeon to prepare the data base of people belongs to district who are addmitted in various hospitals in Jalandhar so that their contacts could be traced for testing.

                 To tackle the Bio medical wastage in case of home isolation, it was decided to provide special bags for collection of medical wastage from homes.

             Deputy commissioner also urged the GOGs to play significant role in tracing , testing and treatment of persons having covid symptoms especially in rural areas.

               Prominent amongst who attended the meeting included ADC (G) Rahul Chabha ADC (D) S.P Angra, S.P Mandeep Singh, SDM Varinderpal Singh Bajwa, SDM Dr. Charumita, SDM Pavitar Singh, Civil Surgeon Dr. Jasmeet kaur bawa.
