Khalsa College gets `Swachhta Tag’ from Central Council

Amritsar, September 9 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The historic Khalsa College Amritsar (KCA) has been conferred a Recognized Social Entrepreneurship, Swachhta and Rural Engagement Cell (SES REC) Institution by the Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India. The status was conferred keeping in view the College observing the practices of mentoring, social responsibility, Swachhta and care for Environment and Resources. 

            KCA Principal Dr. Mehal Singh said the certificate of recognition has been issued by Dr. W.G Prasanna Kumar Chairman of the Council, declaring the College one of the Swachh Institutions in the country. The College he said will further frame the SES REC action plan and will be working in the areas of sanitation and hygiene, waste management, energy conservation and greenery in the Covid-19 times also.. He congratulated the staff on this achievement and thanked the management for support and guidance.
