BBK DAV Women Fencing players and Gymnast selected for 31st World University Championship

Amritsar, March 25 (Punjab Post Bureau)  – BBK DAV College for Women International Fencing Players, Sheetal Dalal and Taniksha Khatri have been selected for 31^st World University Championship going to be held at Chengdu (China) in August 2021.They won Gold, Silver & Bronze medals in SAF Games, held at Kathmandu (Nepal) Dec 2019 and participated in Commonwealth Games held at Newcastle (England) in July 2018 and Asian Junior & Cadet Fencing Championship held at Dubai (UAE) in March, 2018. They also won Gold and Silver Medals in Senior National Championship held at New Delhi in February 2020 and won many medals in National Championships.

               Ms.  Rojina  Mirza Artistic Gymnastics Player of BBK DAV College for Women has been also been selected for 31^st World University Championship going to be held at Chengdu (China) in August 2021.  Rojina Mirza is the only player who has been selected from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. She also won Gold and Silver medals in National Level Competitions and All India Inter-University Gymnastics Championships.

                 Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia and Mrs. Sweety Bala Head of Physical Education Department along with  faculty, Ms. Savita Kumari and Ms. Gursharan Kaur and Gymnastics  Coach  Mr.  Narpinder Singh and parents congratulated the selected players and motivated them to touch new heights in the arena of sports.
