Inter College Poster Making Competition organised on 400th Anniversary of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji

Kapurthala, March 28 (Punjab Post Bureau) – As part of the competitions being organized by the Punjab Government in various educational institutes dedicated to the 400th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, an online inter-college poster making competition was organized at University College Mithra in Kapurthala.

                Students from 5 colleges across the state participated in the competition and made posters on the theme of Guru Sahib’s life, Bani, martyrdom and incomparable contribution to Sikhism.

                Principal of the college Dr. Daljit Singh Khaira said that this was the third competition dedicated to Guru Sahib by University College Mithra as per the program given by the Punjab Government. He said that such competitions are very helpful in connecting the young generation with the great history.

                 Pawandeep Kaur from Khalsa college for women Amritsar and Gurleen Kaur Punjab University, Swami Sarvanand Giri Regional Campus, Hoshiarpur jointly bagged the first place in the poster making competition. Gagandeep Kaur, Fazilka came second and Sheetal Sharma, a student of Bebe Nanaki University College, Mithra got third position.

                Program Coordinator Dr. Jagsir Singh Department of Sociology Gurpreet Kaur Commerce Department was instrumental in the successful conduct of the competition.
