Amritsar, April 9 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Over 100 staff members including senior teachers were vaccinated at the day-long- anti-Covid-19 Vaccination Camp, organized at Khalsa College Campus here. The camp was organized by the management of the College in collaboration with the Department of Health, said Principal Dr. Mehal Singh.
He said special arrangements were made for the special camp under the supervision of Dr. Neelam from Civil Surgeon office and Dr, Charanjit Singh, Medical Officer. Dr. Mehal Singh thanked the team of Civil Surgeon office for safeguarding the lives of the people Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina, Honorary Secretary, Khalsa College Governing Council has already issued orders for Corona Vaccination for staff in view of the safety of the staff of all the Khalsa educational institutions. The staff members of the college have benefited from this special initiative today, said he.
Encouraging the staff members and students, he said that while it was imperative to follow the guidelines issued for the prevention of this disease, all should take advantage of the facilities being provided by the government for vaccination. He said that with such initiatives, the vaccine would be able to reach the masses more quickly and the College would continue to avail this facility of the government in collaboration with the department as and when required.
Dr. Neelam said that during today’s special vaccination camp, they received the full support from the college administrators and the entire staff. The necessary support would be provided to the health department in future also as and when required, said Dr. Neelam. Registrar Prof. Devinder Singh, Dean Academic Affairs Chief Prof. Sukhmeen Bedi along with all the staff members co-operated and reached for vaccination.
