Army organises Ex-Servicemen Rally at Baba Bakala

Jalandhar, Nov. 3 (Punjab Post Bureau) – A Veterans and Veer Naris Meet was organized by Beas Brigade at Baba Bakala, yesterday. The meet was organized in consonance with the impetus being given to Ex Servicemen Welfare by the Vajra Corps and Western Command. Approximately 1000 Veterans attended the meet and 34 Veer Naris were also felicitated during the event.  As part of the meet, a Health Camp was organized for the Veterans and Veer Naris by a team of five doctors which included a lady doctor, an eye specialist and a medical specialist. The Veteans and Veer naris were provided information regarding Ex Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme Clinic,  the Unit Run canteen facilities and the establishment of the Veterans Sahayata Kendra at the Beas Military Station. Commander, Beas Brigade and Senior Director Family Welfare Organisation,  Beas Brigade, interacted with the Veterans and Veer Naris and reiterated the commitment of the army towards providing assistance to the Veterans and who were the pride of the Nation. The Veer naris were felicitated by Senior Director Family Welfare Organisation, Beas Brigade. The Veterans and Veer Naris commended the conduct of the rally and expressed their sincere thanks to the Beas Brigade.
