Cleanliness Drive under Swash Bharat Abhiyan at KCE

Amritsar, November 3 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  A Cleanliness Drive was taken out under the Swash Bharat Abhiyan scheme by the the students and staff of the Khalsa College of Education (Ranjit Avenue). Led by Khalsa College Governing Council honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina, the volunteers cleaned the college campus before stepping out on the roads of the surrounding colonies to sweep the area in the neighbouring residential colonies. The aim of the event was to inculcate the sense of keeping the surrounding clean and never to look at the work of sweeping as the lowering of respect one. The students learn to make their campuses, residential areas, cities and finally the country clean’’, said Chhina. KCE Principal Dr.Surinderpal Kaur Dhillon also said that there was a lot of enthusiasm amongst the students regarding the drive. “The rally was also taken out to create an awareness among the people in general to adopt the way of cleanliness and environment protection’’, said Dhillon.
