
Amritsar, Nov. 4 (Punjab Post Bureau) – DAV Public School, Lawrence Road today observed Foundation Day of Punjab with full zeal and fervour. The morning assembly echoed with Punjabi songs and songs narrating the valour of Punjabis. The students also presented a role – play depicting the eventful history of Punjab from Maharaja Ranjit Singh to Bhagat Singh and more. The students raised their voice to save the rich Punjabi language and culture. They took a pledge to saveguard the Punjabi culture amidst westernisation.
Regional Director Amritsar Zone Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Principal BBK DAV College for Women, Lawrence Road and the Manager of the school Dr. K.N. Kaul Principal DAV College sent their best wishes to the students on this occasion. They said, that Punjabi Literature has so much to offer, guide and inspire the youth of today. The need of the hour is to connect to it and feel proud this rich heritage.
Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school congratulated the students on this occasion and said that we need to join our hands against drug addiction. She advised the youth to tread on the right path and utilize their ingenuity to make the state a developed state in all facets.
