Traffic Awareness Rally organised by DAV Public School

Amritsar, Nov. 15 (Punjab Post Bureau) – DAV Public School, Lawrence Road , organised a Traffic Awareness Rally in association with the Traffic Police , Amritsar. The students of Std VIII of the school took out the rally and marched on the roads of the city to spread the message of obeying the traffic rules for safety. Holding placards with slogans like Safe Driving, Cautious and Alert Driving, Awareness for Traffic rules, Wearing Helmets and Seat Belts etc, they made the public aware of the dangers involved by not following the rules. They also met the traffic officials and thanked them for their effort and taking initiatives like this in making the people realise that how they are risking their and others’ life. Regional Director Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Principal BBK DAV College for Women, Lawrence Road , Amritsar and the Manager of the school Dr.K.N. Kaul Principal DAV College , Hathi Gate , Amritsar added that people of the city should be educated about the traffic rules because this was the most common reason for accidents. Dr.Neera Sharma Principal of the school said that in school also she makes it a point that students are taught about traffic rules so that they grow up into safe drivers.
