DAV Red Cross School for Special Children, bagged 20 Medals in State Special Olympics

Amritsar, Nov. 2012 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Intellectually Challenged students of DAV Red Cross School for Special Children run under the able guidance of Arya Ratan Sh. Punam Suri Ji, President, DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi and Sh. J. P. Shoor Ji, Director PS-I and Aided Schools DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi, bagged 20 Medals – 8 Gold, 5 Silver and 7 Bronze in various events of 17th Punjab State Special Olympics. These games were held at Hoshiarpur. Over 400 students from state participated in these games. Harleen Kaur, Rupinder Kaur, Diksha and Kareena of the school bagged Gold Medals in Boccee, Arshpreet, Karanroop, Rupesh and Sahil won Gold Medal in 100 MD, 50 MD, 25 MD and Shot Pot respectively. Kewal, Mehakpreet, Mandeep and Mehak of the school bagged silver medals in 100 MD, Soft Ball and Shot Put respectively. Nadtej, Sahil, Arshpreet, Mandeep, Karanroop and Rupesh won bronze medals in various athletics events. Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra , R. D and Manager of the school, Principal Dr. (Mrs. ) Neera Sharma and Headmistress Mrs. Simmi Luthra congratulated the winners.
