MLA Jeevan Jot Kaur encouraged students to adopt vocational skills for self-employment

Kaur, M.L.A Amritsar by lighting the lamps here today in the Department of Lifelong learning of Guru Nanak Dev University. Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sarabjot Singh Behl, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Karanjeet Singh Kahlon, Registrar and other officials were present on this occasion. This exhibition, exhibiting the handicrafts and other materials made student of the Department, will conclude on May 31.
Mrs. Jeevanjot Kaur appreciated the work done by the students and encouraged them to work with more motivation. She exhorted the students to adopt these vocational skills in future and be self-employed. She observed everything minutely and showed keen interest. She also assured all kind of help in the future to over extend and substantiate these skills. The students of the department also interacted and explained how they made these hand-made materials.
Prof. Sandhu expressed his views to spread more information about the courses of the department so that more students could know about the courses run by the department and be benefited.
Prof. (Mrs.) Saroj Bala Director of Lifelong learning informed the chief guest that this exhibition has been organized by the department as annual. The students earn while learn by taking orders of their displayed articles and become self-reliant. On this occasion, Prof. Sarabjot Singh Behl Dean Academic Affairs thanked the chief guest and other members who were present there.
Mrs. Tejpal Kaur, Mrs. Rupinder Kaur, Mrs. Paramjit Kaur, Mrs. Anchal Uppal, Mrs. Kirti, Mrs. Kamla Devi, Miss Rubal, Miss Jaskaran kaur, Miss Komal, Munish Mohan, Kulwinder Singh, Akashdeep and a large number of students were present on the occasion.
