DAV Public School holds Seminar on Health and Well Being

Amritsar, 18 October (Punjab Post Bureau) – DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, in association with Leo Club Amritsar organized a seminar on 17^th Oct 2023 in which the students were apprised about the hazardous effects of Electronic cigarettes. The speakers for the day were Dr. Sunil Grover a renowned Chest Specialist and a Professor at Guru Ram Dass Institute of Cancer and Ms.Simran Singh who is a writer, educationist and motivational speaker. In his address he created awareness about the detrimental chemical in e-cigarettes which begins as a pleasure but eventually is fatal for life. He urged the students to choose a day to say ‘NO’ to substance consumption Motivational speaker Simranjit Singh added spark to the audience by asking them to believe in self and be strong enough to say ‘NO’ to substance consumption and create space for self to relax and meditate.

Regional Officer Punjab Zone (A) Dr. Neelam Karma lauded the efforts of the school in ensuring the well being of its students.   The Manager of the school Dr. Pushpinder Walia blessed the school for its endeavours.

The Principal of the school thanked the distinguished speakers for their valuable insight on critical issues and asserted that informed individuals make healthier choices.
