BBK DAV Granted “College with Potential for Excellence” (CPE) Status for 2015-2020

Amritsar, Jan. 14 (Punjab Post Bureau) – On the recommendation of its Expert Committee, UGC has conferred the status of  “College with Potential for Excellence” (CPE) on BBK DAV College for the third phase of 5 years, effective from April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2020. This status carries with it a grant of Rs. 1 Crore 20 Lacs.

It is worth mentioning that this award is an acknowledgement of the excellent achievements of the college in academics, sports as well as extra curricular activities and is meant to further strengthen the various departments of the institution. The president of the DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi, Sh. Punam Suri Ji congratulated the Principal of the college Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra on this achievement. Dr. Neelam Kamra congratulated the BBK DAV team involved in the CPE presentation at the UGC office, New Delhi. This team includes Dr. Neeru Chadha and Mrs. Rajni Mehra (UGC Coordinators), Mrs. Manjot Sandhu (Asso. Prof. in English), Mr. Kanwarpal Singh (Asst. Prof. in Comp. Sci), Mr. Sher Singh (Computer Programmer) Mr. Kapil and Mr. Jaswinder Singh (Office Staff).
