Two days Fest ‘Hunar 2015’ culminated at CKDIMT Tarn Taran

Tarn Taran  Feb. 7 (Punjab Post Bureau) – On the second day of cultural festival “HUNAR- 2015” organised at CKD Institute of Management & Technology (CKDIMT) at its Tarn Taran campus under the able guidance of President S. Charanjit Singh Cahdha,  teams from various colleges from all over Punjab participated in various literary, cultural and fine arts events. The schools competed on the first day. And Over all  Trophy among Schools was won by Sri Guru HarKrishan Public Sen. Sec. School, Majitha Road bypass, Amritsar. The various events included quiz, rangoli, mehndi, essay writing, poster making, cartooning, face paiting, and folk song (solo). The overall theme of the festival was ‘Youth Looking Ahead. First Overall Trophy among colleges was bagged by PAU College of Agriculture, Ludhiana and Second Overall Trophy was won by Sri Guru Angad Dev College of Educaton, Khadoor Sahib

The campus was bubbling with a contingent of about seven hundred student enthusiasts who flanked from all over Punjab to participate in this two day event. The competitions were held in What’s Your Story, Just2min, Rangoli, Essay Writing, Quiz, Poster Making,Cartooning, Mehndi, Face Painting, Flower Arrangement, Business Plan, Video Documentary, Working Model Display, Paper Reading Contest, Case Based Group Discussion, On The Spot Camera Tricks, Salad Making, Power Point Presentations and Folk Song (Solo).

In Power Point Presentations, the students were made to express their views on “Opportunities Abroad Vs India”. The objective of the event was to create self understanding about distractions and attractions in their academics so that they can foresee their career options in India or abroad. In Paper reading Contest, the students presented their papers upon the subjects like “India- The Next Level” and “Women and Indian Society”.

 President S. Charanjit Singh Chadha commented in a press release that these inter college competitions were organized keeping in view the present need for cultural exchange and intellectual dialogue among the youth. Hunar – 2015 gave the platform to students from different educational institutions of Punjab to participate in a number of events and outshine with their talent. The events like this not only produce and recognize those who are talented, but also give confidence and social maturity to the participants, he added. Students winning First and Second positions  were honoured by  CKD Institute of Management & Technology Management.
