110 students donated blood at Khalsa College Law

Amritsar, Mar. 18 (Dharmender Singh Rataul) – At least 110 students today donated blood at `Blood Donation Camp’ organized by Khalsa College of Law (KCL) in collaboration with blood bank of Guru Nanak Dev Hospital. Amongst the donors were girl students who enthusiastically took part in the camp which was inaugurated by Khalsa College Governing Council honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina.

Chhina said the blood donation is the most sacred donation as blood taken will save hundreds of lives of the needy people. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said the aim of the camp was to inculcate the sense of social service amongst the students and he was overwhelmed by the response shown by them. He congratulated the students and team of doctors from GNDH adding that the blood collected will be preserved at GNDH Blood Bank and will be given to the patients of cancer and those injured during accidents.

Dr. JS Dhillon, Principal, Khalsa College of Education, Dr. SK Jand, Principal, Khalsa College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, DS Rataul, Under Secretary, KCGC were present. Dr.Jaspal said Prof. Gurpreet Singh, Program Officer, NSS Wing of the College and NSS volunteers of the College worked very hard to ensure the success of the Camp.
