Amritsar, Mar. 25 (Punjab Post Bureau) – DAV Public School, Lawrence Road paid tribute to the founder of Arya Samaj, Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati on the occasion of Foundation Day of Arya Samaj. Arya Samaj, a renaissance movement in the society, was founded by the great revolutionary, social reformer and reviver of Vedic Culture, Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati in 1875. On this occasion the students of the school recited inspiring poems and sang devotional songs to pay homage to the great soul. Swami Dayanand established Arya Samaj as a society of Noble People to eradicate the evils of ignorance and injustice and spread education to all. Highlighting the philosophy of this great leader, the students took pledge to transform themselves into ‘shresth humans’ by following the path shown by him and become enlightened citizens and serve humanity at large.
Regional Director Amritsar Zone Dr. (Mrs) Neelam Kamra Principal BBK DAV College and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal Dav College, Hathi gate sent their best wishes for the students on this occasion. They advised the students to always keep the ten principles of Arya Samaj in mind to live their life in a rightful way.
The Principal of the school Dr. Neera Sharma blessed the students on this occasion and said that there was so much to learn from the life of this great scholar, reformer & philosopher. She urged the students to imbibe the values of honesty, sacrifice and scientific reasoning for the service of humanity.
