Amrirtsar, Aug 6 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Two Pingalwara children Dolly and Shallu after winning medals in World Special Olympics -2015 held at Los Angeles in USA. Arrived at Amritsar Railway Station and received mammoth reception from District Administration, Representative of Special Olympics Amritsar, Dr. Inderjit Kaur President All India Pingalwara Charitable Society and other members of Pingalwara Society and large number of teachers , students of various schools run under the aegis of Pingalwara society. District Administration was representative by Mr. Rajesh Sharma Sub Divisional Magistrate Amritsar and District Special Olympics was representative Chairman Mr. Gurmohinder Singh and convener Mr. Dharminder Singh and SSA Staff. They were brought in a procession from Railway Station to Main Branch and again were accorded warm reception by Pingalwara residents.
Dr. Inderjit Kaur welcoming them exhorted all other students to excel in games and studies and won laurel for the Pingalwara so that its name is known all over the world Dolly has won two bronze medals in power lifting (squat lifting and bench press) and Shallu won gold medal in unified games (Table Tennis) at Los Angeles USA.
Among those present at the railway station were Dr. Jagdeepak Singh Vice President, Mukhtar Singh Hony.Secy, S. Rajbir Singh member, Mr. Parkash Chand Jain and many others.
